Paola Poncet completed her studies at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory under the guidance of Giorgio Tabacco, graduating in 1992.
Thanks to a scholarship from the DeSono Association for Music, she specialized at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Ton Koopman, earning her soloist diploma in 1996.
Winner of the first prize at the Bologna Harpsichord Competition, she furthered her study of the Baroque repertoire with masters such as Bob van Asperen, Christiane Jaccottet, and Jasper Christensen.
Since 2003, she has been the official harpsichordist of Europa Galante, an ensemble with which she carries out an intensive international concert and recording activity for Virgin Classics.
She has performed in duo with Fabio Biondi in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris.
Currently, she holds a teaching position at the Conservatory of Piacenza.
