Lina Tur Bonet is the founder and director of the ensemble MUSIca ALcheMIca, which made its debut at Vila Musica Mainz and the Potsdam Festival with Handel's opera Alessandro, conducted by Alan Curtis.
The group, internationally recognized thanks to its award-winning discography, was born from the idea of interpreting music from all eras and tackling multidisciplinary and pedagogical projects.
Its activity spans Europe, America, and Asia, and it counts great international performers among its ranks, establishing itself as a true ensemble of soloists.
It has performed on the world's most prestigious stages, including Tokyo’s Musashino Hall, the Potsdamer Festspiele, the Innsbrucker Festwochen, the Palazzo di Spagna in Rome, the Festival de Chiquitos in Bolivia, and the Early Music Festivals of Santiago de Chile, Lima, and Panama, as well as in the main Spanish festivals and auditoriums.
It has recorded music by Legrenzi, Biber, Bach, and Handel for the Austrian radio ORF, live for RTVE, and for the Japanese television NHK with worldwide broadcast.
Its discography includes ten award-winning CDs for Pan Classics and Glossa, featuring two Diapason d'Or awards.
In its multidisciplinary facet, the ensemble collaborates with poets, video artists, painters, and filmmakers, performing in major museums and cultural spaces by integrating audiovisual techniques into its music.
It also participates in international educational projects in Panama and Bolivia, holding masterclasses and sharing the stage with young musicians.
Its videos are highly appreciated for their artistic and innovative character: the video of Corelli’s Follia was presented in Rome, London, and on RTVE with great success, as was another produced in Vienna with Michael Seeber based on Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata.
