Giuseppina Bridelli, originally from Piacenza, is a mezzo-soprano and among the most acclaimed singers of the Baroque repertoire, with a career spanning nearly twenty years. Her vast repertoire ranges from Mozart to Rossini, and from Haydn to Pergolesi, with forays into Romanticism and contemporary music.

Trained under the guidance of Maria Laura Groppi at the Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza, she completed her studies at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro. Winner of numerous international competitions, she made her debut at just twenty years old as Despina in Così fan tutte conducted by Diego Fasolis.

Her career has led her to the world’s most prestigious theaters and festivals, where she has performed leading roles in operas by Purcell, Händel, Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Cavalli, Lully, Gluck, Rossini, and Mozart, among others, on stages such as Teatro La Fenice, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Theater an der Wien, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, and the Aix-en-Provence Festival.

She has collaborated with conductors of the caliber of Ottavio Dantone, Fabio Biondi, Diego Fasolis, Zubin Mehta, Michele Mariotti, and Raphaël Pichon, and with directors such as Robert Carsen, Damiano Michieletto, and Peter Stein. She is a regular guest at institutions such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Her discography, released by labels such as Decca, Harmonia Mundi, Alpha, Glossa, and Arcana, includes titles by Vivaldi, Rossi, Monteverdi, Lully, Stradella, and two solo albums dedicated to Baroque cantatas. She currently teaches Baroque singing at the Monteverdi Conservatory in Cremona.
