The Farnese Festival is the fruit of a shared endeavour: artists, institutions and patrons brought together by a common passion for early music and for the extraordinary cultural heritage of Parma.

The Festival is promoted by the Complesso Monumentale della Pilotta — the remarkable venue that hosts it and is the custodian of its identity — and made possible by the generous and indispensable support of Fondazione Monteparma as main donor. «Fondazione Monteparma is delighted to renew its support for the Farnese Festival, whose artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Fabio Biondi. Through a programme of early music that reinvents itself with each edition, the festival plays a vital role in celebrating the historical, artistic and musical heritage of Parma, drawing together a wealth of inspirations to offer audiences an immersive and multisensory experience — one that brings the great music of the past into living dialogue with the monumental spaces that give it a home».

«With this fourth edition of the Farnese Festival, we have reached a significant milestone: a strong international presence shaped by a theme we hope to pursue for years to come. The relationship between Parma and the great artistic cultures of Europe — from Spain, the focus of this year’s edition, to France, Austria and the many other musical worlds that will accompany us on this extraordinary journey»

Fabio Biondi

«Now in its fourth edition, the Festival reaffirms its international vocation, in step with the vision of the Pilotta and guiding the institution itself towards a deeper embrace of music — one of the arts that has most profoundly shaped this extraordinary place of culture. Baroque melodies — some beloved and familiar, others rediscovered for this very occasion — will breathe new life into the magnificent halls of the Pilotta, ready once again to welcome a wide, passionate and discerning audience. The passion and mastery of Fabio Biondi are the beating heart of this festival, generously sustained by Monteparma: to both I extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude»

As a company, we believe firmly that economic development and cultural growth must walk hand in hand: our participation in this fourth edition is not merely an act of patronage, but a wholehearted commitment to a project that places Parma on an international stage of the highest calibre — through the universal language of early music and the exceptional artistry of Fabio Biondi»
